The Moving Image Awards, designed in partnership with the British Film Institute, recognises and rewards the UK's most talented young film-makers. Every year, students undertaking WJEC qualifications in Film and Media are invited to submit their work for consideration by our panel of judges.
“As the largest provider of A level and GCSE Film Studies, and one of the largest for A level and GCSE Media Studies we are delighted to work with over 1,000 schools and colleges here and abroad. With the BFI we are excited to applaud the dedicated work of our students.”
Jeremy Points, Head of Creative and Media Arts, WJEC.
The ceremony has garnered support from teachers and lecturers of film and media courses at a variety of institutions, as well as from leading figures in the
film industry. The awards ceremony itself is
preceded by a presentation from
a leading UK director.
Last year, guests were treated to a talk
from The Hallow director Corin Hardy,
who offered an insight into how
to make it in the film industry.
